Privacy and Security Policies

At Gourmet Temptations we do everything we can to respect your privacy.  When you submit sensitive information, that information is protected both online and offline.  We do not collect personally-identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly.  So, if you just want to browse and learn about our unique and exceptional products, we invite you to do so.  As a casual, unregistered visitor to Gourmet Temptations, we’ll recognize your home server (e.g., that your web access if through Yahoo.com. etc), but not your email address or any other personal or system information.
If you do provide us with your email address, we may notify you from time to time about additions to Gourmet Temptations product line, new Artisans, specials or contests.  If you prefer not to receive these email notifications, please unsubscribe at the bottom of the email or contact Customer Service at gourmettemptations@comcast.net.  We do not trade, sell or disclose email addresses with any other companies.
Like most companies, we use “cookies” on certain parts of our website.  This allows us to track your session, particularly when you are shopping our catalog.   This is necessary to ensure that we keep your order together while you browse through the catalog and select items for purchase.  We do not use the cookie to collect any type of personal information, and the cookie doesn’t extract any information from your computer.
Whether you’re requesting information or placing an order, we want you to feel safe and secure while visiting Gourmet Temptations.  To ensure that your credit card information is even more secure, we use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption method on all secure submissions.  This method is generally accepted to insure that the transmission of personal information is secure.  The most common browsers make it very obvious when information is being passed in a secure manner by showing a completed key or closed lock on the screen.

 

Shipping

United Parcel Service provides our standard shipping service.  We ship your purchases from our home base in Vallejo, CA unless the product needs to be shipped directly from one of our producers.  Purchases will be shipped within 2 days of receipt of your order.  Your items should arrive at their destination within 5-7 business days from the date of shipment.  Orders shipped via UPS can be tracked online using the tracking code provided in your order confirmation statement.  Orders shipped via other means cannot be tracked using an automated system, however if it is urgent, call Customer Service on our toll free line and we will make every effort to help you track your order.  UPS shipping rates are determined automatically online by the weight of your order and your Ship To location.  Oversized or heavy orders may require extra charges.  Please contact Customer Service for shipping rates to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories or a foreign address.  In order to better serve you, please provide us with a daytime and evening telephone number in case we need to clarify your order.
